Fuse board upgrades

Upgrading a fuse board (or consumer unit) allows a premises to remain up to date and improve the safety within a business or domestic property. Many old fuse boards do not provide some of today's safety. For example RCD's provide an instant response to earth faults which can help avoid shocks and fires. If you are using old rewireable fuses, or introducing equipment such as an EV charge points which demand a higher current, you may benefit from an upgrade. Alternatively, if you are looking for a higher standard of protection, an upgrade could also be advantageous.

Prior to suggesting a replacement, an inspection will be made to check on the incoming supply, earthing and current installation; this will allow the new fuse board to be installed safely.

Installation requires a number of hours without mains electricity. A new consumer unit will be installed and all circuits checked to ensure they are safe and up to current standards. A full Electrical Installation Certificate will be provided.
